How Green AI and Computing could save the planet?
The conference's goal is attempting to respond to this question trough exposing and discussing the new applications and trends of AI and Computing that aim to tackle environment harms and enhance the human life.
The conference proceedings will be indexed by a relevant international publisher (coming soon)
GAICES'20 is official partner of the
International Federation of Global & Green ICT (IFGICT).
Membership ID: AP150420Z19.
IFGICT will award 3 Green IT Professional Certifications to best 3 papers in the conference.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has a wide range of applications in many sectors, including finance, medical diagnosis, education, transportation, etc. The AI could also play a key role in improving human ability to cope with the environment harms (e.g. global greenhouse gas emissions, global warming, etc.), predict natural disasters and thus contribute to the planet protection. On the other hand, the considerable increasing of energy consumption by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), as well as the carbon footprint of ICT devices due to the activities related to their life-cycle or their unaware eco-use, lead to a deep reflection and proposition of new sustainable models, algorithms, methodologies, platforms and standards in order to provide a next-generation of computer science.
The purpose of the International Conference on Green Artificial Intelligence and Computing: Eco-aware Solutions (GAICES) is to bring together academic scientists, engineers, and researchers to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Green AI and computing. It also provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, and industrials to present and discuss the advances and applications adopted in those fields. GAICES’20 covers a wide spectrum of research subjects, including green AI and its eco-friendly applications, green methodologies and architectures in software engineering, Green and Smart cities, renewable energy and energy efficiency in Smart Grid and cloud computing, etc. The first edition of GAICES'20 will be held on November 27th and 28th 2020 at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Mohammedia (FSTM), Morocco.
